Under the supervision of the Director of Operations, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive school health nursing services to school-age children, focusing on health promotion and disease prevention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct health activities across assigned schools, including vision and hearing screenings, assessment of conditions, and referrals.
- Anticipate and respond to the needs of students, demonstrating collaborative and respectful behavior.
- Manage program activities, identifying opportunities for improvement and promoting positive change.
- Work effectively in a team, communicate constructively, and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Utilize critical thinking and sound judgment to make appropriate decisions in problem-solving situations.
- Manage own time efficiently, promote productivity, and seek cost-effective ways of conducting tasks.
- Evaluate and improve the quality and effectiveness of school health services through continuous assessment.
Education and Experience:
- Current knowledge and competency in school nursing practice.
- Ongoing participation in continuing education activities related to clinical knowledge, practice, and professional issues.
- Relevant qualifications and certifications in nursing.
Requirements:
- DC LPN
- American Heart Associate BLS (CPR and AED)
