Responsibilities and Duties:
Assist the bus driver with navigating routes and maintaining schedules.
Monitor students on the bus to ensure their safety and well-being during the journey.
Ensure that students are seated appropriately and encourage them to follow School Bus
rules.
Address and manage student behavior, promoting a positive and respectful atmosphere on
the bus.
Maintain accurate records of ridership and bus behavior.
Maintain effective communication with the bus driver, students, school staff, and parents
regarding any issues or concerns.
Maintain current knowledge of Emergency Evacuation procedures; assist the driver in
emergencies.
Assist the driver in keeping a record of student attendance, noting any changes or
irregularities.
Assist driver with pre-trip and post-trip inspections such as child checks, and lost
merchandise.
Attends in-service meetings and training courses as assigned to stay informed about
safety protocols, emergency procedures, and student management technique
Assist driver in regularly inspecting and reporting any issues with bus equipment, such as
seat belts, emergency exits, and communication devices.
Maintain a cooperative attitude with colleagues, supervisors, parents, and school
personnel while promoting Chester Elite Trans’ core values.
Maintain good work habits through timeliness and regular attendance for daily
assignments.
Performs related duties as assigned.
