School Bus Aide

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Bus Aide to join our team. As a Bus Aide, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of students during their transportation to and from school. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the Bus Driver in maintaining a safe and orderly environment on the bus. Hours needed are 6:30/7-9:30am and 2-4:30/5pm

Responsibilities:
- Ensure students are seated properly
- Monitor student behavior and enforce bus rules
- Communicate effectively with the Bus Driver, school staff, and parents regarding any concerns or incidents that may arise during transportation
- Maintain a clean and organized bus environment

Skills:
- Experience working with students, particularly in a school or childcare setting
- Strong conflict management skills to handle any behavioral issues that may arise on the bus
- Knowledge of first aid procedures to provide immediate assistance if needed
- Ability to manage student behavior and maintain a positive and respectful classroom-like atmosphere on the bus
- Ability to educate students on bus safety rules and reinforce positive behaviors
- Excellent communication skills to interact with students, parents, and school staff

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license (if required)
- Clear background check

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
