School-Based Outpatient Clinician

Valley Community Services Board is seeking licensed, or licensed-eligible clinicians to provide behavioral health and substance use services to children, adolescents, and their families in the public school systems of the City of Staunton, City of Waynesboro, Augusta County, and Highland County public school systems.

Summary of Essential Functions:

• Provides individual, family, and group counseling services for children and adolescents experiencing mental health and substance use challenges, including individuals with co-occurring disorder.
• Provides crisis stabilization and emergency services as needed.
• Conducts mental health and substance abuse evaluations, including the evaluation of treatment needs, and develops treatment plans.
• Works collaboratively with teammates and external partners to provide a range of treatments and support services.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in social work or related field from an accredited program.
• LMHP-eligible in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current LCSW, LPC, or similar certification in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
