Job Description:
This Scheduling Specialist position is responsible for scheduling exams for outpatient services via telephone. Performs duties with Fax Queue. Assures that orders are properly attached to account. Responds to provider questions, requests, concerns regarding the status of patient exams, care coordination or follow-up status. Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION: GED or High School Diploma required.
EXPERIENCE: Six months training or experience in a related is preferred. Experience with computers and knowledge of medical terminology is preferred. Prior experience in a position that required problem solving skills, organizational skills and interactions with multiple levels of personnel both verbally and written preferred.
- This position will confirm insurance & obtain/track authorizations for procedures and diagnostic testing.
