Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager or his/her designee schedules surgical cases in accordance with established policies and procedures, produces surgery schedule for use by various parties in the hospital, enters surgery charges into the patient information system according to required policies and meeting all established guidelines, performs charge verification functions per established protocols, validates all data entry elements necessary to produce accurate statistical data are complete and accurate within the patient record, manages implant invoices utilizing materials management systems.

What qualifications you will need:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience in healthcare setting
• Knowledge in medical terminology required
• Attention to detail and excellent phone and interpersonal skills
• Previous experience in Surgery Scheduling
