Job Description

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Directs, administers, and coordinates organizational effectiveness by providing leadership for the SFCS; including produce programs and school pantry programs and other RFB run programs. Is responsible for a safe, well-organized and efficient operation. Including scheduling, delivery and infrastructure; personnel management; assistance with program promotion and events/outreach coordination; management of RFB programs, including the receipt, allocation, and distribution of approximately 2 million pounds of food annually; manages State and Federal compliance requirements and related community food system resources, monitoring reports, and maintaining statistical information pertinent to RFB programs; oversight of various RFB events such as food drives, fundraisers, PA recruitment, and educational projects. monitoring PAs to ensure compliance with Oregon Food Bank contracts. Direct supervision of Warehouse Supervisor, Fresh Alliance/Route Drivers, Work Experience Persons as well as volunteers.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

(Duties assigned to this job include, but are not limited to, the following examples.)

•             Ensure implementation of policies and practices

•             Maintain budget and track expenditures/transactions

•             Help build positive relations within the team and external parties

•             Schedule and organize meetings/events and maintain agenda

•             Build New Product/Agency/Donor cards as needed

•             Ensure technology is used correctly for all operations (video conferencing, presentations etc.)

•             Keep updated records and create reports or proposals

•             Support growth and program development including Produce Programs and School Pantries

•             Developing, implementing and maintaining internal audit policies and procedures in accordance with local and state best practice.

•             Reviewing all new products, systems or processes to ensure compliance.

•             Conducting ad hoc investigations into identified or reported risks

•             Review OFB receipts for Accuracy and to monitor food flow

•             Complete weekly/Monthly Warehouse Inventory Compliance audits with Warehouse Supervisor

•             Supervising warehouse staff and daily activities

•             Coordinate Volunteers to support project needs

•             Support Partner Agency Network Support Fund Requests

•             Special Order Review/Processing

•             Ensuring complete, accurate and timely audit information is reported to director

•             Participate on ORCCA/Community Committees/Work Groups and Task Forces as requested by Program Director.

•             ORCCA Safety Committee as the SCFS rep

•             CAC Committees

•             Complete, follow up on and proper reporting of Partner Agency compliance visits

•             Comprehensive Compliance Trainings for Partner Agencies to ensure compliance

•             Thermometer calibration

•             Stay up to date with TEFAP compliance changes

•             Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABLILITIES:

•             Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style

•             Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

•             Demonstrated ability to manage a large-scale Distribution Center and achieve results through others in a collaborative manner. Exceptional organization of short- intermediate- and long-term commitments to ensure completion to schedule. Strong follow-up and follow through capabilities are a must.
