Scenic/Exhibit Designer

WE ARE LOOKING FOR A DETAIL ORIENTED AND RESOURCEFUL PERSON WHO CAN TAKE A HANDS ON APPROACH WITH PROJECTS. YOU'RE GOING TO BE ELBOW DEEP IN SOME CREATIVE AND DYNAMIC WORK. WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR AN ENERGETIC, SELF SUFFICIENT INDUSTRIAL DESIGNER WITH EXPERIENCE WORKING IN A FAST PACED ENVIRONMENT. THIS TEAM MEMBER MUST BE A PROBLEM SOLVER AND MUST BE READY TO JUMP IN IMMEDIATELY.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Experience creating 3D forms for fabrication is a must

• Design 3D parts using Solidworks, Rhino, or Fusion 360 required

• Experience in Scenic, Trade Show or Exhibit design is a huge plus

• Ability to organize data and information into build documentation is required

• Ability to organize and participate in production and design meetings

• Cooperate with creative team members to preserve design intent, and determine design details and specifications

• Experience working with mesh (.STL, .OBJ) bodies

• Work with mechanical and electrical engineers to ensure structure, mechanisms or technology cooperates with the 3D form

• Understand dimensioning and possess good understanding of final assembly

• Experience in design for fabrication

• Possess creative problem solving capacity

• Experience creating shop construction drawings for fabrication

• Highly organized, motivated and creative

Design Background/Skills:

• Recent experience (2+ years) using Solidworks, Fusion 360 and/or Rhino 3D

• Experience working in a team environment

• Computer Skills (MS Office, Word, Excel, email, etc)

Software Experience:

• SolidWorks, Rhino 3D, AutoCAD, Fusion 360
• Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc)

• 3D rendering software. (Blender, Keyshot, etc)

Bonus Round:

• ZBrush or any 3D sculpting software a plus

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Themed Entertainment Design, Interior Design, Architecture or similar

• At least one to two years of related experience strongly preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
