At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a SCCM Engineer supporting the Government, you will be a part of a team charged with engineering solutions for software deployment, patch deployment, configuration, IT baselines, importing & testing, etc. within the enterprise.
In this role, a typical day will includeUtilizing Microsoft SCCM to provide user workstation baseline configuration and administration of operating systems Identifying, analyzing, and resolving system problems with both short-term workarounds and long-term solutionsWriting PowerShell scripts to automate systems administration tasksProviding guidance and leadership to less-experienced systems engineersUtilizing SCCM to provide security updates, vulnerability patches, hotfixes, and other updates to user workstations and servers. Developing and maintaining baselines images for servers and laptops to add the latest security updates, software versions, hotfixes, patches, etc. What You Will Need:Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a CI poly.Must meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements including one of the following: Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA Security.Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent 8+ years of experienceExpert level facility with SCCM and WSUSSolid understanding of VMware vCenterFunctional understanding of Microsoft SQL Server and Active DirectoryExpertise in MDT and SCCM (capturing images (.WIM), creating packages, advertisements, task sequences, operating system deployment (OSD) and queries).Familiarity with DISA STIGs for Windows operating systemsExpertise with IAVA process including RMF release process, testing, approval, and deployment processesSolid knowledge of Active Directory Security Groups, OUs, DNS, and GPO managementDesired CertificationsMicrosoft Software Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)WHAT GDIT CAN OFFER YOU:Flexible work schedule and telework optionsCollaborative teams of highly critical thinkers and innovatorsAbility to make a real impact on the world around youInternal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your careerMeaningful work and collaborative, diverse teams to fuel best ideas and create value for company and clientA key role in ensuring long-term business success401K with company matchPerformance recognition mechanisms
