STARK/ SCALAMANDRE is seeking to hire an experienced Fabric Cutter for our Calhoun Georgia location. This role will be responsible for assisting in a variety of warehouse duties, including inventory counts, processing orders and moving inventory throughout the warehouse.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Verify information of pieces against orders.
- Examine all pieces for orders before cuttings.
- Ensure the correct fabric and yardage is cut, following the protocol.
- Ensure all orders are cut in timely manner and all orders are cut the same day.
- Ensure all orders are updated in the system during the cutting process.
- Must re-inspect small yardage and pieces with flaws.
- Safely use any power equipment to move warehouse material according to proper safety instructions and as directed.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand for an 8-hour shift.
- Must be able to work in extreme warehouse weather condition.
- Must be willing to cross train.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Basic knowledge of carpet manufacturing. Work in a fast-paced environment but still maintain accuracy while producing a quality sample.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Experience in a manufacturing environment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work in a warehouse environment, changing temperatures.
- Must be able to kneel, crawl and/or bend for long periods of time.
