FEVO is looking for Scala-Full Stack engineers with different levels of experience. Please indicate which level you would like to be considered for in the application question below. Please note as part of our interview process you will be asked to complete a coding challenge. WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- As Scala Engineer at FEVO you will be leading the transition of our highly profitable, battle-proven but aging Scala systems to modern, scalable architecture. You live and breathe Scala but have keen interest in expanding beyond. Scala is our first love, but we believe Go language is the future of high performance and scale. You love designing, developing and analyzing complex systems in the cloud. You are not a stranger to performance testing, profiling and code optimization.
- Analysis, design and enhancement of FEVO's Scala-based systems
- Developing and executing strategies for transformation, porting and optimization of existing systems into new architecture
- Profiling and optimization of Scala source code base
- Feature development and analysis
- Passion for Go language (even if not proficient in it yet)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- 5 years of experience in software development
- 3 years of experience in Scala
- Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes and cloud-based architectures
- Knowledge of micro service architecture principles
- Experience in developing complex software systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of Akka, Play - a plus
- Experience in profiling, code optimization and stress testing - a strong plus
