Essential Job Functions:  
  • Safely and competently erects and dismantles scaffolding systems in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications and OSHA Regulations.
  • Responsible for loading and unloading scaffold materials
  • Responsible for daily inspection of erected scaffolds
  • Assembling scaffold components to include frame scaffolding, system scaffold, and tube and clamp scaffolding
  • Responsible for necessary inventory as needed for particular scaffolding project
  • Assists other crew members or Lead to successfully complete scaffolding projects
  • Other duties as assigned – to include but not limited to insulation installation activities, and architectural installation activities.
  • Assemble or put together materials to support temporary construction activities common in industrial oilfield settings, or other wooden fixtures using hand and power tools.
 
Required Minimum Qualifications:  
  • Education: High School Diploma, or Equivalent
  • Work Experience: One (1) to Two (2) years’ experience in scaffold systems. Experience with basic maintenance and repairs of scaffolding systems. Familiarity and knowledge of OSHA scaffold regulations.
  • License/Certifications: 
    • Current OSH 10 and Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) certificates or be able to obtain upon hire
    • Current and valid driver’s license, with clean driving record
    • Alaska locations only: North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) Training, required
  • Other equivalencies related to Carpentry or other program from an accredited vocational school
  • Post Job Offer Requirements:
  • Take and pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Alaska North Slope locations only: Take and pass a Fit-for-Duty Examination
 
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:   
  • Knowledge of scaffolding components and materials and care of scaffold components
  • Knowledge of system scaffolding manufacturer’s specifications and OSHA scaffolding regulations.
  • Knowledge and experience in support of industrial oilfield construction activities
  • Knowledge of hazardous materials and safety regulations and good industry safe practices related to industrial oilfield construction activities.
  • Ability to work safely in an adverse and challenging work environment
  • Ability to use time and equipment efficiently in order to complete projects on time
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to handle stress and possess positive trait even in difficult or challenging situations
  • Ability to attend training sessions, seminars and appropriate educational classes required by company
  • Basic or general knowledge of carpentry methods, tools and power tools

  • Alaska locations only: The incumbent must be able to physically travel by air within, and out of, the State of Alaska
  • The employee will be required to work and stay on site during the work rotation and must comply with all Company and Client policies including but not limited to attendance, safety, COVID 19 testing and vaccination.
