Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled SBIR/STTR Proposal Consultant to join our team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting proposal development, facilitating meetings, and ensuring the submission of high-quality proposals that align with the objectives of our clients.
Responsibilities:
1. Proposal Development:
- Work closely with clients to understand their technological innovations and business objectives.
- Lead and support the development of SBIR/STTR proposals, ensuring compliance with agency guidelines and requirements.
- Collaborate with technical and business teams to articulate project goals, methodologies, and anticipated outcomes.
- Conduct thorough research to identify funding opportunities and stay informed about industry trends.
2. Meeting Facilitation:
- Organize and facilitate meetings with clients to gather information and provide updates on proposal progress.
- Lead discussions to clarify project details, address questions, and ensure alignment with funding agency expectations.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to refine technical content and enhance the overall quality of proposals.
3. Client Communication:
- Maintain regular communication with clients, keeping them informed about proposal timelines, milestones, and any potential challenges.
- Provide expert advice on best practices for SBIR/STTR proposal development and submission.
4. Quality Assurance:
- Conduct thorough reviews of proposal documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with agency requirements.
- Implement feedback from clients and team members to enhance the overall quality of proposals.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain organized records of proposal development activities, communications, and client interactions.
- Generate reports on proposal progress, challenges, and successes as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (engineering, science, business, etc.).
- Proven experience in SBIR/STTR proposal development and submission.
- Strong understanding of government funding agencies, particularly in the context of SBIR/STTR programs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
