SBA Loan Servicing and Compliance Specialist

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB

Independently the incumbent is responsible for ensuring compliance in processing and servicing SBA, USDA, and Conventional loans managed by the company. The incumbent is responsible for reviewing and auditing loan materials and documentation up to and including loan applications, SBA authorizations, closing files, disbursement files, loan modification requests, and payoff requests. The incumbent is also responsible for programming and tracking and collecting ongoing Servicing and Compliance tickler items.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Ensure data accuracy by reviewing SBA Authorizations using available systems and tools to determine if a 327 Modification is needed prior to launch of servicing.

· Prepare some post-closing 327 Modifications.

· Review 327 Modifications, credit memorandums, and other loan related documents and materials for accuracy, consistency and Compliance with loan requirements.

· Liaison with various external legal counsel to review draft documents and resolve any issues regarding the loan.

· Perform a loan compliance and audit review of final closing documentation packages

· Submittal of SBA Form 159 to appropriate service vendors and proper reporting of third party fees charged in connection with SBA loan applications.

· Establish closed loans in Cash Suite system to launch servicing to include the setup of related products and services for the loan, and Compliance ticklers to manage the loan.

· Prepare all Borrower's Payoff loan requests to include payoff figures, correspondence with service vendors and the Final 1502 Report.

· Perform review and closing activities for primarily SBA Express Loans.

· Provide customer service to loan clients by responding in a timely manner to inbound telephone and email communication.

· Provide ongoing support, guidance, and resolution on client loans to include but not limited to correspondence with the bank's lenders, insurance companies, legal, SBA, and service vendors.

· Ensure loan disbursements are properly documented.

· Verify lien positions have been properly perfected post-closing.

· Participate in loan portfolio reviews to review credit administration compliance.

· Monitor disbursements on loans for construction to ensure compliance with loan requirements.

· Monitoring loan expiration dates and expirations of UCC's advance notice to Lender's.

· Review of information received from Lender's, Borrowers and Legal Post Closing, to include filing, renaming and updating Cash Ticklers.

· Review of the monthly 1502 Reports for Lender review and submission. Prepare 1502 report for Applied Bank.

· Back-up support for loan closings as needed and as requested.

· Carries out duties in compliance with all SBA, federal and state regulations and guidelines.

· Complies with all company and site policies and procedures.

· Remains current in profession and industry trends.
