Position Summary:
Performs wide range of duties including setting up and operating multiple saw equipment and tracking and documenting saw blade life.
Essential Functions:
- Sets up and operates multiple saw equipment within the allotted set up time using blue prints and routings.
- Tracks and documents saw blade life and advises the Product Manager of any blade life problems.
- Works with the Raw Material Handler on any needed tubing or bar stock for processing.
- Interfaces with Repair and Maintenance personal of needed repairs or machine problems.
- Ocasionally performs test on various brands of saw blades and tracks blade life in effort to improve saw blade cost.
- Practices safe work habits while using equipment and lifting or handling materials.
- Understands and follows all procedures associated with job functions. Recommends changes to procedures as needed.
- Performs special projects as directed.
- Participates on Self Directed Work Teams as needed and practices interpersonal skills training.
- Attends and participates in various training sessions as required
- Works closely with management and fellow employees to keep an "open line" of communications to achieve "team concept" goals of our organization.
- Detects and reports improper operating or faulty equipment and any unusual conditions to the Supervisor or Group Leader.
- Maintains work area and equipment in a clean, safe and orderly condition.
- Follows prescribed safety rules and regulations.
- Responsible for maintaining and following all quality standards and standard operating procedures
- Maintains and protects all company assets under their control while fostering loss prevention awareness.
- Responsible for maintaining and following Quality and Aerospace standards and standard operating procedures.
- Able and willing to work all shifts and hours as assigned.
- Performs other related duties as required or as directed.
- High School diploma or GED .
- Basic reading, writing and language skills.
- Basic math skills
