Job Summary / Objective
Operating the saw safely and efficiently to produce quality parts to support the machine shop.
Essential Job Functions and Duties
Knowledge of tooling speeds and feeds, offsets, and minor program changes
Basic operational proficiency with multiple CNC machines
Experience with working in a prototype and first piece rapid machining environment
Willing to take on challenges with a "can-do" attitude
High level of initiative, strong sense of responsibility, ownership, follow-through, and autonomy.
Desire to work collaboratively as a team player as needed to complete projects.
Read part prints and understand GD&T
Oversee operation of CNC machines
Use Calipers, Micrometers and other measuring instruments
Assist in machining adjustments and operational improvements
Maintains and performs preventive maintenance on machines and related systems
Maintains a clean, organized and safe workspace
Other duties as assigned.
Experience working with Mazak equipment a plus
Ability to work second shift and weekends as necessary during critical times of projects.
Experience with large machine parts with a high degree of complexity a plus
Any experience with programming, and Esprit software a plus.

Physical Requirements
Regularly stand, walk, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Regularly possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately
Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
Safety Glasses must be worn at all times when in the production areas.
Enclosed non-skid shoes must be worn at all times when in the production areas.
Other PPE must be worn as required.
Required Education and Experience
1 - 2 years manufacturing experience desired
Marine, Automotive, or aerospace experience preferred but not required
Work Schedule / Additional Eligibility Requirements
Normal business hours are Monday - Friday, 8AM – 4:30PM
This position schedule is 6AM - 4:30 PM Monday - Thursday
Post offer background check and drug screening may be required
Overtime may be required at times depending on manufacturing needs
