RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains traceability of test pieces and customer scrap at all times.
  • Stamps proper identification and location on test specimens, when required.
  • Ensures the saws, water jet and other shop equipment is functioning properly and in calibration prior to performing any work.
  • Informs the supervisor whenever any equipment is found out of calibration or in need of repair.
  • Inputs required data into shop tracking software to record completed quantities and scrap location.
  • Troubleshoots problems and takes corrective action, as needed and within guidelines.
  • Assists with maintaining shop equipment (e.g. cleaning, preventive maintenance, replacing consumables, keeping maintenance logs, performing repair maintenance).
  • Understands and complies with LTI’s QA Program at all times.
  • Seeks clarification when specifications or directions are unclear.
  • Assists with the proper disposal of scrap metals from within the department.
  • Follows all safety rules and regulations at all times and utilizes personal protective equipment.
  • Maintains assigned work area(s) in a clean, organized, and safe condition at all times.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Six months to one-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience desired.
  • Course completion or certification from industry related institution or technical school (Desired).
  • Candidate must have mechanical and mathematical aptitude.
  • Understanding of how to operate shop tools and equipment desired.
  • Computer skills required: Enterprise Resource Planning System and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder.

*This is a full-time, 2nd Shift role that will be based in Hatfield, PA. The hours are 2:30pm – 11pm, Monday through Friday.
