Chisesi Brothers is a Louisiana family-owned and operated company meat processing plant for over 116 years, servicing the New Orleans area through the Gulf Coast.
We are looking for a Sausage Maker who is looking to work in a fast-moving manufacturing plant. Be a part of our team assisting us in processing New Orleans Best meat products in the south.
Position overview
Prepare sausage for further processing, transfer meat, may be required to assist in other areas of production and packing departments, clean area.
- Process sausage ensuring proper size and quality, for further production.
- Inspect products while processing for excellent texture, smell, and color that is required by our quality control department.
- Must knows how to operate machine for stuffing sausage.
- Move the product to the next location.
- Ability to implement quality control and food safety standards required by our quality control staff.
- Operate machinery, ensure it is functioning correctly, clean, assemble and prepare equipment.
- Must be able to work well and communicate with other employees and management.
- Able to bend, kneel, squat, and stand for a length of time, no sitting in this position.
- Required to move heavy equipment.
- Must be able to move 40-75lbs along with lifting.
Work Environment
- Must be able to work in extreme cold, damp, wet, and slippery conditions.
- Able to handle loud noises.
- Must be able to handle knives, sharp blades with sharp edges and able to operate sausage machine.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
