Sap & Database Platform Lead (Fully Remote)

Campbell's Application Platform & Databases team is seeking a Solution Manager to lead and manage the technical operations of the application platforms such as SAP, JDA, Stonebranch, and Databases. Aligned with the business and digital strategy, the role will closely work with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end technology solutions while also working to define and manage the technology roadmap. The successful candidate should bring deep technical knowledge of SAP platforms and databases. Additionally, Solution Manager must have strong leadership skills and experience managing the service providers. This role will report to the Senior Manager Application Platforms & Databases.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

SAP Basis (30%):

• Manage and govern the Service Provider to ensure that all SAP systems which include ECC, BW, APO, PO, & Solution Manager; its databases which include HANA, MySQL, and MaxDB; and its ecosystem of "bolt-on" applications are always up and running
• Ensure that SAP systems are always performing optimally, and drive measures to proactively monitor the health of the system
• Ensure that the 27 ITSM disciplines are implemented by the Service Provider and are performed effectively to meet or beat the expected SLAsWork with project teams to gather requirements, discuss solution options, provide timelines, provide cost estimates, lead POC and eventually drive the team to deliver to the requirements as per the agreed upon timelines
• Lead the team during DR testing, and ensure that the DR test plan is fully usable in the event of an actual DR
• Observe strict compliance with key regulatory demands in designing and deploying SOX or any required controls
• Understand SAP Business Processes from an application standpoint and understand the underlying infrastructure to effectively manage the SAP system. This knowledge will also enable to serve at the L4 contact for any escalation issues

Databases (20%):

• Manages the DBA Service Provider for 1000+ Oracle, SQL, MongoDb, MySQL databases, related projects, and programs, including delivery of operations support.
• Oversee all delivery and service obligations to ensure proper provision of quality service to customers of the company
• Effectively manage DBAs to support Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and MySQL environments within Azure Cloud environments
• Govern a team in conducting all operational duties to guarantee smooth operation of database support service.
• Drive all efforts of the team in upgrading all older version of the databases to a n-1 version
• Observe strict compliance with key regulatory demands in designing and deploying Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance.
• Drive proactive capacity analysis on database servers and stay ahead of capacity requirements
• Make recommendations on how to reduce hosting complexity/improve operational agility and efficiency
• Ensure compliance with evolving industry standards and best practices.
• Is experienced in managing databases on Microsoft Azure

Batch (20%):

• Manage Service Provider by overseeing delivery of service obligations to ensure batch jobs across the entire Campbell's landscape run on schedule using Stonebranch as the job scheduling tool
• Enforce change control disciplines to ensure batch schedule integrity
• Govern Promote to Production disciplines
• Continually streamline the throughput process and ensure that the resolution of abends, providing logs and other pertinent information is done per schedule.
• Assist in the exercise of business resumption plans in the case of Disaster Recovery
• Integrate non-centralized batch schedules and processes into the Stonebranch enterprise scheduler to facilitate a single global batch scheduling service which provides a common support framework.

JDA (20%):

• Lead & Manage the JDA warehousing platform working with the application team and the service provider.

Others (10%):

• Work with Service manager on defining the technology roadmaps.
• On-boarding and managing any newer application platforms.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE (required):

• Masters or Bachelor's degree in Information technology or related field
• Minimum 7 years in SAP Basis and 5 years in Databases
• SAP certification
