Title: SAP Architect
Client: Energy, Oil & Gas Company

Type: Contract On-site (Houston, Texas at Energy Corridor)
Rate: $90/hour W-2 (on-site)
Summary:
As a Senior SAP Basis Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and support of the SAP landscape. You will ensure the availability, performance, and security of SAP systems, databases, and related technologies. This role requires expertise in SAP Basis administration, database administration, and a deep understanding of SAP architecture.
Duties:
- Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems like S4, Fiori, SLT, BW, etc. in a multi-tier SAP landscape
- Manage SAP instances, systems, and clients performing system refreshes, client copies, and system upgrades
- Architect and implement solutions for optimizing SAP infrastructure, including server sizing, storage, and network configurations.
- Manage automation of system builds, optimization, and evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance the SAP landscape.
- Must have operating system knowledge of Linux or AIX, and experience in at least one cloud platform - AWS or Azure.
- Administer and optimize SAP databases (SAP HANA and Oracle).
- Implement and maintain database backup and recovery strategies.
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Manage and tune HANA DB clusters along with performance monitoring and tuning.
- Monitor and optimize the performance of SAP systems and related components.
- Conduct performance tuning and recommend system improvements.
- Apply Kernel upgrade/DB Patch/Support Packs upgrades across landscape systems using a structured methodology.
- Implement and maintain high availability and disaster recovery solutions for SAP systems.
- Develop and test backup and recovery procedures with interface and integration.
- Configure and maintain SAP interfaces with other systems.
- Troubleshoot integration issues between SAP and third-party applications.
- Create and maintain documentation for SAP Basis processes and procedures.
- Provide training and knowledge transfer to junior team members.
- Collaborate with other IT teams, such as infrastructure, security, and application development teams.
- Work closely with SAP functional teams to understand business requirements.
Requirements:
- 5-10 years' of experience in SAP Basis administration.
- Expert in SAP technologies, including SAP S/4, Fiori, HANA, SLT, and SAP Solution Manager.
- Strong database administration skills (SAP HANA, Oracle)
- Experience with SAP system upgrades.
- Experience with SAP automation using cloud native tools.
- Knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery concepts.
- Knowledge of new dimension products like SAP BTP
- SAP certifications are a big plus!
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
