3rd SHIFT ONLY schedule starting at 8PM
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing our cheese packaging facility to ensure that federal and state requirements are met.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Wash and sanitize production equipment following procedures and instructions, document activities as needed.
- Disassemble and reassemble parts of the machinery to ensure that equipment is cleaned thoroughly, and notify appropriate parties when problems are encountered.
- Ensure that quality specifications are being met. Inform appropriate parties when standards are not met.
- Coordinate activities with Quality Assurance to ensure environmental tests met required standards.
- Work closely with hazardous chemicals.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices to ensure food and work safety.
REQUIREMENTS/WORK CONDITIONS:
- Ability to work with heavy equipment; frequent lifting of up to 50lbs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to read and understand chemical and safety labels/guidelines.
- Comfortable working in a cold environment as low as 32 degrees.
