Position Summary:
This position will report directly to the sanitation Lead, Supervisor or Manager. He/She is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing of facility walls, floors, equipment, and tables within the production departments. This position utilizes foamers, floor scrubbers and basic cleaning tools. He/She works independently near machinery, in tight/high spaces and with strong chemicals. Possess the ability to learn basic principles of sanitation and the Master Sanitation Schedule with moderate supervision.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform cleaning and sanitation of plant and environment in a thorough and safe manner.
- Operate cleaning systems and equipment as trained.
- Follows Lock Out/Tag out procedures while on the plant floor.
- Ensure area is clean and organized, and free of potential hazards.
- Fill out all Daily paperwork.
- Follow procedures for the proper use of chemical supplies and power equipment per established guidelines.
- Clean up bodily fluids in the event of an incident per the Blood Bourne Pathogen Policy.
- Follow all cleaning procedures SSOP’s.
- Report issues, problems and/or observations daily to Lead/Supervisor.
- Practice to maintain a safe work environment.
- Abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, GMP’s, and instructions.
- Follow all safety & SQF Food Safety rules and use all appropriate safety equipment.
- The employee understands and complies with all food safety policies, procedures and programs as stated in the Company’s Food Safety Manual.
- The employee will be expected to use scissor lifts and work at heights.
- The employee will be expected to work inside and outside of the plant.
- The employee will occasionally be working in cold, humid, or hot environments.
- The employee may be required to perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Pay: From $14.50 per hour
