The Sanitation Operator maintains a high level of Food Safety and product quality by cleaning and sanitation of food processing equipment, utensils, and facility.
Some of what you'll do as a Sanitation Technician:
- Maintain cleaning and sanitation following the company Master Sanitation Program.
- Utilize chemicals and cleaning agents to clean and sanitize processing area walls, floors, and equipment.
- Utilize refuse and sanitation tools properly and safely.
- Removal of debris from the processing area.
- Communicate chemicals supply levels to management.
- Maintain plant safety.
- Clean and maintain sanitation equipment.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Provide backup support for other duties as needed.
- Become certified as an electric pallet jack operator.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
You'll be a great fit if you have:
- Sanitation experience in warehouse, kitchen, or plant a plus.
- An ability to use industrial-strength chemicals.
- The ability to understand and demonstrate safety procedures.
- The ability to push or pull heavy equipment.
- Excellent work habits in line with good manufacturing practices (GMP).
- An ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- The ability to follow detailed oral and written instructions.
- An ability to communicate effectively.
