Job Description
Summary/objective
The Sanitation Supervisor is a key member of the Quality Control Team. This position is responsible for overseeing the sanitation duties regarding the plant grounds and building areas.
Essential functions

Responsible for sanitation and required documentation of the following areas:
• Directing all hourly EP's in executing sanitation program including communicate, train, and enforce company policies and expectations in clean and precise manner
• Comply and enforce all GMP's, safety, and housekeeping standards
• Oversee the completion of the BRC Sanitation Program for all lines, internal and external sanitation processes
• Manage Water Room systems and plant water sanitations
• Manage wastewater processes to include completing reports for the state for water and wastewater permits
• Accurately complete all sanitation related paperwork to meet all applicable rules or guidelines that pertain to government, industry and food safety standards
• Develop strong sanitation team members through the effective use of performance management processes and tools
• Ensure the proper use of all sanitation related chemicals used in the plant
• Responsible for ordering janitorial supplies as needed, working with vendors to ensure proper inventory levels
• Oversee micro program, to ensure sanitation metrics are being met to include bottled water requirements
• Responsible for conducting food safety walks and reporting items found
• Participate in food safety audits as needed and maintain paperwork to ensure it is audit ready at all times
• Carry out other duties as assigned
• FOOD SAFETY: Required to follow the Good manufacturing Program GMPs as listed in Code of Federal Regulations CFR 21 section 110. Requires participation in various Food Safety related training that Buffalo Rock utilizes. Required to report potential issues related to Food Safety.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
• Must exhibit a high level of ethical and moral conduct while at work or in attendance of any off-site function during work hours or after work hours while representing the Buffalo Rock Company.
• Responsible for continuous self-improvement through the knowledge and use of all Buffalo Rock provided training, either web-based, in-house, or any other provided method. Must successfully complete assigned training curriculum, including but not limited to online and/or facilitated training.
• Ensure that every reasonable precaution is taken to protect the Company from possible damages, theft, or other liabilities.
• Ensure that every reasonable precaution is taken to protect the safety of employee- partners, self, customers, Buffalo Rock property, and customer property.
• Honor and follow through on all business commitments.
Supervisory responsibilities
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; making recommendations regarding changes in status.

Required education and experience
- Education: High School Diploma or GED; Required
- Computer Skills: Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs including: SharePoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
- Experience:
- 1-3 years of Supervisory experience in a related field
- Proven experience in sanitation, micro, CIP, COP, MSS
- A minimum of 2 years manufacturing or operations experience preferred
- Ability to give and receive constructive feedback
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Suite
