Legacy Supply Chain is hiring a Traffic Clerk to support our distribution center located in Summerville, SC. As a Traffic Clerk, you are responsible for supporting the daily operations of the Distribution Center, ensuring workload is built into accurate waves and work is waved in a timely fashion to ensure production is sustained throughout inbound and outbound operations. This position includes a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) plan with up to 5% company match.
Schedule and Compensation
- Tuesday through Friday - 4:00pm to 2:30am; starting pay $21.20 per hour
- Eligible for a monthly bonus of up to $1.05 per hour
Job Details
What to expect as a Traffic Clerk:
- Prepare shipping paperwork for all outbound freight following customer requirements and quality policies
- Communicate with carriers and client's traffic to insure the timely movement of trailers
- Assisting with any clerical/warehouse duties the operations team requires
- Maintain and update trailers statuses in GDS
- Maintain and balance physical yard inventory of trailers against what is stated in the GDS system
- Complete bill at gate report daily
- Use of Customer Advantage System to track containers
- Responds to customer inquiries and special request in a timely manner
- Handle receiving/shipping complaints
- Check reports for last free dates for containers
- Maintain and balance physical yard container inventory
- Monitor and report LOS
- Notify Operations Manager of HOT/Rush Containers
- Manage in-gating of containers for correct arrival information
- Follow customer requirements and Legacy SCS quality policies
- Follow company policies, guidelines, and quality procedures
- Other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- 1-3 years of experience in warehousing with shipping and receiving protocols
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Punctuality with a demonstrated attendance record
- Experience working in team-oriented environment
