Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Proteomics Sample Preparation Scientist to join our dynamic reagent development team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in advancing our proteomics research efforts by developing and implementing robust Sample Preparation protocols. The candidate should have a strong background in proteomics sample handling, preparation, and enrichment techniques to ensure high-quality data generation for downstream protein sequencing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, optimize, and implement Sample Preparation protocols for a variety of protein samples, ensuring compatibility with next generation protein sequencing workflows.
  • Evaluate and integrate new technologies and methodologies to enhance Sample Preparation efficiency and data quality.
  • Implement rigorous quality control measures to assess the integrity and purity of protein samples, ensuring the reliability of downstream analyses.
  • Troubleshoot and address issues related to sample quality to maintain high standards for data accuracy.
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including bioinformaticians, biologists, and organic chemists, to streamline workflows and achieve company goals
  • Clearly communicate experimental procedures, results, and potential challenges to team members and stakeholders.
  • Operate and maintain state-of-the-art protein sequencing instruments used in proteomics research.
  • Troubleshoot instrument-related issues and coordinate with the technical team for repairs and maintenance.
  • Maintain detailed records of experimental procedures, results, and protocols in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Contribute to the preparation of technical reports and presentations for both internal and external audiences.

Basic Qualifications:

  • M.S. or equivalent experience in biochemistry, bioconjugation, molecular biology, or a related field with 3-5 years of Industry experience.
  • Proven expertise in developing and optimizing proteomics Sample Preparation protocols for diverse sample types.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with current trends and advancements in proteomics research.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. preferred or equivalent experience in biochemistry, bioconjugation, molecular biology, or a related field.
  • 2 years of prior experience in a research or industry setting focused on proteomics.
  • Knowledge of high-throughput Sample Preparation techniques.
  • Experience with automation and liquid handling systems.

The estimated base salary range for this role based in the United States of America is: $ 80,000- $120,000. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, level of the position, an individual's skills, knowledge and abilities, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all full-time employees are eligible for our discretionary bonus program and equity as part of the compensation package.
