Job Description
- Monitor and document progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Educate clients and their families on strategies for improving communication skills.
- Provide direct therapy to individuals, both in one-on-one sessions and group settings.
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of comprehensive care plans.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address clients specific needs and goals.
- Stay current on developments in speech pathology, incorporating evidence-based practices into therapy.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to therapy.
Requirements
- ASHA certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Experience working with pediatric populations is desirable.
- A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field is required.
- Possession of or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the state of Georgia.
