Doggy Day Spa is looking for a Grooming Salon Receptionist to join our team in Maple Valley, WA.
Salon Receptionist Job Description:
We are seeking a responsible team member for a full or part time receptionist position at our grooming salon. Our receptionists must have positive attitude, friendly, and give our clients superior customer service both in person and over the phone/text. Our receptionists are responsible for taking reservations and receiving care instructions from pet owners so applicants must pay attention to detail, communicate effectively and requires basic computer knowledge.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide the best customer service to our clients.
- Booking appointments for grooming by email, phone, text and in person.
- Answering phones and emails in response to client questions.
- Taking detailed and thorough notes on all animal care instructions.
- Processing payments.
- Communicating with other team members effectively.
- Daily housekeeping (sweeping, mopping, dusting, organizing etc.).
- Assisting other groomer staff member in any needed tasks.
- Any duties that may be assigned by management.
- Computer work.
Qualifications and Skills
- Must be able to handle using disinfectants and cleaning up urine and feces.
- Must work well with people and animals.
- Must have keen observation skills to notice an animal in discomfort.
- Must be able to lift heavy objects in excessive of 40 pounds.
- Previous animal care or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of dog breeds are a big plus.
- Must have some basic computer skills.
- Must have some knowledge of Microsoft Words/Excel, Google doc/sheet.
- Starting wage is based on experience.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
