Position
 Salon Attendant

Schedule

We are currently seeking candidates for multiple part-time positions, with two shifts available each day, seven days a week. We aim to fill all available slots. Please indicate on your application which shifts you are interested in.

• DAY SHIFTS: 9am - 2:30pm - (Seven days a week)
• NIGHT SHIFTS: 2:30pm - 9:30pm - (Seven days a week)

Where

We’re located on 23rd St. in Chelsea, Manhattan and operate on 3 separate floors within the building.

Pay

Starting Pay Rate of $21 Per Hour

Your performance will be assessed every three months, with evaluations based on key performance indicators. Meeting or exceeding our operational standards will qualify you for a potential $1 per hour raise at each evaluation point. The maximum raise you can achieve within your first year of employment is capped at $25 per hour. Please note that raises are based on performance, not potential.

Salon Attendant Responsibilities: What you’ll be doing...

• Provide all day-to-day cleaning and sanitizing tasks, such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping of salon studios and common areas to the highest standard of cleanliness and sanitation.
• Ensure all towels and capes are laundered and folded appropriately.
• Restocking salon-studios with towels/capes and supplies.
• Cleaning countertops, furniture, lighting fixtures, mirrors, hallways and public areas asneeded or arranged by management.
• Gather garbage and deposit in respective bins.
• Maintaining a variety of beverages and restocking as needed.
• Self-starter, able to work independently and as part of a team and must have excellent timemanagement skills.
• Identify and report any maintenance issues or damage to management.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth operations.
• Greet clients, offer refreshments and notify hair stylists.
• Sales/Inventory reporting as needed.
• Distribute equipment to our members
• Receive and distribute packages/deliveries for our members.
• Provide warm, thoughtful, solution oriented customer service for our members and theirclients.
• Respond to member requests in a timely and efficient manner.
• Uphold company standards for customer service, guest satisfaction and cleanliness.

Salon Attendant Qualifications: What’s needed to do the job...

• At least 2+ years of experience in Hair Salon, Residential or Commercial site cleaning as a Salon Assistant, Matron, Porter or Custodian.
• Work well with people, handle pressure, and work under minimal supervision.
• At least 2+ years of customer service experience.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
• Positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to continuously walk, stand, and perform essential job functions for an extendedperiod of time.
• Ability to lift heavy objects up to 25lbs
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to clear a standard background check
