Salesperson

GPOD of Idaho, a leading shipper of fresh Idaho Russet Burbank potatoes, is seeking a qualified individual to join our sales team.

Due to market growth and personnel transitions, a sales position has been created.

This position is a full time salaried position.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: The GPOD sales team is responsible for maintaining current sales levels in wholesale terminal markets along with retail and food service areas across the united States. They are also responsible for pursuing areas of growth. The sales team is also charged with maintaining customer relations and representing GPOD of Idaho throughout the industry in a very professional manner and maintaining GPOD of Idaho’s well known reputation. The sales team is also responsible for arranging and maintaining viable transportation for the finished product.

DAILY TASKS: Adjust sales to production daily to ensure the highest possible efficiency for the warehouse. Prepare daily reports for warehouse and office staff. Maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and fellow employees. Make sales calls and schedule transportation of finished product. Monitor and help maintain timely accounts payable. Monitor quality of finished product. Complete any other tasks as needed. Do other duties as asked that do not pertain to the sales office. Must be able to lift 50 plus pounds. Maintain a positive attitude, be punctual and take initiative as a passionate self-starter.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and training preferred.

SKILLS: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Video Conferencing and Teams knowledge. Must have excellent phone and personal skills. Must meet deadlines, prepare reports as needed and be able to multitask. 10 key skills and attention to detail a plus. Ability to travel as necessary.

APPEARANCE: Professional at all times.

NORMAL WORKING HOURS: Monday through Friday 6:45 A.M. to 4-5 P.M. and later as needed. Additional days of travel that will consist of weekends and overnight as required.

COMPENSATION: Compensation will be based on education, skills and or experience and will include a generous benefits package including health insurance, dental and vision, paid vacation, and matching 401K. $80,000 salary negotiable depending on experience, education and background.
