Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales/Marketing Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies to drive revenue growth and increase market share. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business growth objectives. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in sales and marketing in the outdoor industry, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for Outdoor Products. Candidates with previous experience growing sales for outdoor product manufacturers are preferred. Candidates with previous experience in fishing, lake and pond management, fish food Sales/Marketing, and fisheries management are preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets and increase market penetration for Outdoor Products.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape. Use insights to develop effective marketing campaigns and product positioning strategies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and retailers to drive sales growth and maintain customer loyalty.
- Collaborate with the product development team to provide market insights and contribute to the development of new Outdoor Products that meet customer demands.
- Monitor and analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and recommend adjustments to the sales and marketing strategies as needed.
- Plan and oversee the implementation of marketing campaigns, including digital marketing, advertising, trade shows, and promotional events.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on sales and marketing performance, market conditions, and competitive landscape.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in sales and marketing. Continuously seek opportunities to enhance the company's competitive advantage.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in sales and marketing management, preferably in the Outdoor Products industry.
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, distributors, retailers, and cross-functional teams.
- In-depth knowledge of sales and marketing strategies, techniques, and best practices for the Outdoor Products industry.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data, market research, and competitor analysis to drive decision-making.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital marketing.
- Strong business acumen with a focus on results and customer satisfaction.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Passion for Outdoor Products and an understanding of the outdoor industry trends and consumer preferences. Experience specifically in fishing and the fishing industry is a bonus.
- Previous experience in growing sales with an Outdoor Products Manufacturer is preferred.
