Position Summary

 

THE FOCUS IS YOU: 

As a Salesforce - Senior Business Analyst, you will play a vital role in supporting the firm's growth strategies. We are looking for someone with a deep understanding of the Salesforce platform, who can understand both our current setup and our business objectives to quickly identify areas of improvement. The Salesforce - Senior Business Analyst should be comfortable with change management and governance, as well as communicating, prioritizing, and managing all aspects of a Salesforce project. The ideal candidate will be comfortable liaising with stakeholders at all levels, with the ability to translate technical information into layman's terms, clearly explaining design options and their potential impact.  Our Salesforce user experience is of great importance; therefore, being passionate about training and designing solutions with user satisfaction is a priority. 

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Regular duties include (but are not limited to):

Requirements Gathering and Analysis:

  • Lead requirements gathering sessions, working closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and objectives
  • Analyze and document detailed business requirements, user stories, and use cases

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for business process improvements, efficiencies, and cost reductions
  • Develop and propose innovative solutions that align with business goals

Data Analysis:

  • Perform advanced data analysis to extract meaningful insights, identify trends, and support data-driven decision-making
  • Create complex data models and use statistical techniques to analyze data

Solution Design:

  • Implement and manage various tools and their integrations with Salesforce, such as Pardot, Introhive, etc, in collaboration with third-party system administration resources, other members of the firm and key stakeholders across the company
  • Define and prioritize feature requirements, user stories, and use cases to meet those objectives
  • Define test strategies and test cases in alignment with feature requirements, analyze test results, and ensure defects are resolved

Project Management:

  • Manage and optimize Salesforce, including developing and maintaining data architecture, overseeing system changes, and managing data hygiene
  • Manage and lead complex projects, including project planning, scope definition, resource allocation, and risk management
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Manage third-party system administration resources, ensuring activities align with business goals and objectives
  • Keep up to date with the latest Salesforce features and best practices to ensure optimal platform performance
  • Maintain customer satisfaction, vendor contracts and associated invoices, quality control, problem management and resolution associated with applications across the CRM landscape within the firm
  • Own data governance and data standards for the CRM system
  • Leadership of CRM standard reporting and ad hoc reporting
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of the CRM, tracking key metrics such as system uptime, data accuracy, and user adoption, and providing ongoing feedback to senior leadership to inform continuous improvement efforts

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Communicate project updates, findings, and recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders
  • Act as a liaison between business and technical teams

Testing and Quality Assurance:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to validate solution functionality
  • Ensure solutions meet quality and performance standards

Change Management:

  • Partner with Sales and Marketing functions to develop and execute sales and outreach campaigns
  • Partner with Finance function to develop pipeline reporting to support financial forecasting
  • Provide ongoing training and support to users across the organization to ensure that revenue operations tools and systems are being used effectively and efficiently
  • Establish productive relationships with customer groups and vendors

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain detailed documentation of business requirements, processes, and project outcomes
  • Generate reports and documentation for senior management and regulatory purposes

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Required education and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum of 3 years as Salesforce owner of similar role
  • Active in the Salesforce community

Preferred education and experience:

  • Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Marketing, Accounting, or Finance
  • Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Certified Administrator or Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder
  • Experience with any of the following: Financial Information Systems, Business Information Systems, Deltek Maconomy, Professional Services industry, Financial and Operational reporting, Data Migrations, Data Management
