Job Summary:
The Salesforce Administrator is a proactive person who handles daily needs of users and works to
improve the Salesforce platform. Their role includes performing tasks to support the business, meeting
objectives, and responding to leadership requests. They will collaborate with IT and peers to plan
projects, maintain the system, ensure security, and manage data integration. They are tasked with
collecting input, creating effective solutions, and overseeing the project roadmap. This individual must
deeply understand Salesforce, identify improvement areas, manage change, and effectively
communicate and prioritize project details. They should work well with stakeholders at all levels, making
technical details understandable to non-experts.
As a Salesforce Administrator, you will:
- Manage in-take and work to completion user support requests from phone, email, chat, and
support tickets - Identify and gather requirements, translating into best practice, scalable solutions with a
focus on exceptional user experience - Design and completed configuration changes, including (but not limited to): flows, rules,
approval processes, fields, page layouts, record types, dynamic layouts, apps, actions,
mobile admin, dashboards, and reports - Understand, support, and improve on-going data upload processes and integrations with
third-party systems - Data management to improve Salesforce data quality, implementing rules and automation
as needed - Manage user and license management including new user setup/deactivation, roles,
profiles, permissions, public groups, OWD, sharing rules - Engage in proactive system maintenance including Security Reviews, Release Updates,
Health Check, and Optimizer - Understanding of basic triggers/Apex code knowledge and capability of defining business
logic from the Apex code - Sandbox environment and DevOps/release management experience
- Work with IT Mgmt to identify and schedule platform patches and changes
- Develop process instructions and technical documentation
To be considered as a Salesforce Administrator, you will need:
- To be a Certified Salesforce Administrator
- Minimum of 4 years of Salesforce Administration hands-on experience with Sales and Service
Cloud - Strong Salesforce product knowledge
- Additional Salesforce certifications e.g. Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder
- A proactive attitude to platform enhancements
- Designing scalable, best practice solutions
- Excellent relationship-building skills
- Ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels
- Translating requirements into technical solutions
- Experience in change management and governance
- Training end users and key stakeholders
- Technical documentation
- Available and responsive to questions
- Experience implementing Salesforce configuration changes
- DevOps/release management experience
A successful candidate may also have:
- Bachelor’s/Postgraduate degree, or professional qualification
- Understanding of basic triggers/Apex code knowledge
- Demonstrates continued personal/professional development
- Active in the Salesforce community
