Sales Representative Trellis Fine Wines
Boston, MA Territory

Position Summary:
Trellis Fine Wines distributes and represents independent, family-owned wineries from around the world. Trellis partners with these wineries and helps introduce their wines to the finest restaurants and retailers throughout Massachusetts.
  • Responsible for selling our Trellis brands with a focus on monthly priority items as determined by management (high inventory items, OP focuses, new brands, etc.).
  • Develop relationships with the sales teams (Sig, Coastal, Premium, Stealth) to foster wine sales at all price points by becoming a trusted point of contact for assistance in presentations and account development.
  • Develop direct relationships with key on premise and off premise customers to drive sales of the Trellis portfolio.
  • Manage a busy schedule of supplier market work with well planned, targeted selling days for suppliers.
  • Host staff education, retail tastings, and wine dinners multiple times per month to help drive sales through the account to the consumer.
  • Regularly communicate with management about sales opportunities, market strategies and challenges.
Skills/Requirements:
Ideal Candidate
  • Strong track record of sales success with a focus on fine wines. Previous experience on the wholesale/supplier side strongly preferred
  • Significant management/sales success in on and off premise accounts
  • Completed or ongoing wine certifications (CSW, WSET, CMS) at least at WSET Level III equivalent
  • Strong computer skills with a focus on Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Exceptional time management skills with the ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written
  • Comfort selling/educating accounts and directly to customer
