Mattingly Low Vision is a small and growing company specializing in lighting and low vision products. We are looking to grow our team by hiring a sales and marketing representative whose primary role will be to cultivate new sales avenues and to open new markets beyond our existing customer base.
Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
· In coordination with owner, researches potential customers to contact via phone, email, mail, etc.
· Establish new accounts by planning and organizing calls to potential sales outlets.
· Communication skills, especially gentle persuasion, to clearly convey the benefits of a product to potential customers.
· Confidence and self-assuredness to succeed in cold-calling customers to make a sale.
· Comfort and experience using Zoom or Teams to meet with customers and potential customers.
· Develop and adjust the content of sales presentations by studying the type of sales outlet or geographic location, and potential customer and customer feedback.
· Experience with Canva, Adobe or the like to develop marketing materials across all brands and product lines of the company.
· Responsible for video and social media content creation in conjunction with a web developer and management team, as needed.
· Assist with conference and trade show display content and literature. Some travel will be required.
· Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
· Re-energize dormant existing accounts with strategic outreach and communication.
· Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising/sales techniques and tactics.
· Recommends changes in products, service, pricing, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
· Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
· Becomes key point of contact for new accounts on an on-going basis.
· Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
AA or BA/BS University degree with a concentration in marketing, promotions, advertising sales, or business administration preferred.
Three to five years of proven sales experience.
