Job Description
We are seeking a Sales Representative to join our team at Ironrod Steel Co!
Responsibilities:
- Reach agreed upon sales targets by the deadline
- Create sales material to present to customers
- Find and Develop new leads through:
- Minority/Small Business Opportunities
- Cold Calls
- Fence Companies
- Construction Companies
- Property Management Companies
- Work with Shop Manager to manage projects through till completion
- Nurture and Maintain relationships with current customers through:
- Site Visits
- Phone Calls
- Emails
- Texts
- Send email/text blasts on scheduled basis
- Work with management to create/brainstorm and test out new sales/lead opportunities
- Develop and maintain tracking system to record the results/efficacy of sales activity. Report data to management on a set schedule
- Calculate job costs from labor and material to ensure acceptable margins per job
- Establish and deploy referral system to create leads through existing customer base
- Be willing to pivot and play multiple roles to support team as our company grows and responsibilities evolve
- Perform other duties as directed.
Qualifications:
- Industry experience in steel sales and metal fabrication preferred
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fields
- Proficiency in Planhub, Building Connected, Civcast or similar software preferred
- Familiarity with CRM platforms
- Ability to build rapport with clients
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Strong negotiation skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Strong organizational skills
- Motivated and high energy
- Working Knowledge of MS Office based products.
