Position Summary:

The Sales Representative supports the sales department with day-to-day activities. This position is an entry-level sales position with the goal of working with new customers.

Essential Functions:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Assist sales managers of the Ingredient Division with daily activities.
• Learn all aspects and procedures associated with sales of the Ingredient Division.
• Perform daily tasks, such as organizing shipments, liaising with suppliers and customers, sending and receiving samples and keeping track of customer accounts.
• Establish positive working relationships with existing and new customers.
• Obtain superior knowledge and remain knowledgeable on products offered
• Deliver excellent customer service that ensures ongoing sales and high levels of customer satisfaction
• Follow and achieve department’s sales goals
• Go the extra mile to drive sales
• Suggest ways to improve sales
• Develop and cultivate strong buying relationships with customers
• Other duties, as assigned

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

· 1-3 years of relative experience required.

· Associates Degree required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

· Excellent computer skills including, all MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) required.

· Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.

· Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills.

· Must be efficient with strong attention to detail.

· Must have strong, customer support orientation, a professional demeanor, and the ability to maintain confidential information.

· Must have strong skills in organization and planning, demonstrated ability to work independently, and exercise sound judgment and problem solving.

· Excellent ability to multi-task and prioritize in a busy, fast-growth environment.

· Ability to speak a second language is preferred.

· Logistics background preferred, but not required.
