Are you a detail-oriented, proactive thinker with a passion for precision in a fast-paced environment? Prime Power Services, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Sales Department as a Sales Quote Specialist.
As a Sales Quote Specialist, you'll be instrumental in crafting general, engineering, and project quotes. Collaborate with our Strategic Account Managers and Territory Sales Managers to quote preventative maintenance contracts. Your pivotal role focuses on fostering growth, enhancing relationships, and ensuring our customers choose our top-notch products and services. By actively managing and nurturing customer connections, you'll be a driving force behind Prime Power's expansion across multiyear contracts, base business (general quotes and contract proposals), and engineering quotes and projects.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop general and engineering quotes and preventative maintenance contracts, with occasional development of project quotes and Great Plains entry for assigned territories.
  • Engage with customers after quote completion to discuss the details and establish expectations for quote approval timelines. Follow up by email to confirm the receipt of the quotation.
  • Establish a plan to communicate regarding each general and customer quote.
  • Send preventative maintenance contract quotes to the Strategic Account Manager responsible for the territory for presentation to the customer.
  • Monitor all customer portals (I.E. Corrigo, etc.) to capture incoming requests and submissions for quotations. Provide clear and concise communication to outside sales team members to perform site visits and surveys.
  • Sourcing RFPs to vendors for bidding engineering quotes and projects. 
  • Report all activity into CRM, including calls, accounts, opportunity updates, etc.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with sales team, support personnel, and other company departments for items such as billing issues, adjustments, credits, open tickets, etc.

Your Skills:
  • Must possess strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Must have strong computer skills and the ability to learn new software.
  • Microsoft Office and Dynamics (CRM) sales tool experience.
  • Capable of thoroughly understanding the sales process, including the ability to analyze competitive landscapes for securing business.
  • Must exercise a strong teamwork mentality.
  • Strong attention to detail required.
  • Possess and demonstrate superior time management skills.  
  • Have a fundamental understanding of electricity and power or the aptitude to grasp its understanding.
  • Know how to decipher electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics or demonstrate aptitude.
  • Thorough knowledge of NFPA 110 guidelines.

Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in business, economics, professional sales or similar is preferred.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of successful inside or outside sales experience is important.
  • Microsoft CRM experience or similar preferred.
  • Generator technician experience preferred.
