Harvesting Good, a subsidiary of Good Shepherd Food Bank, is seeking a Sales and Marketing Manager to oversee a Northern New England territory and be based in Southern Maine or New Hampshire.
Requirements of the Sales and Marketing Manager:
- 3-5 years of experience selling direct to institutions (K-12, healthcare, higher ed, etc.) is required.
- Outside sales experience, managing a regional territory, is required.
- Experience selling food or foodservice products is preferred.
- Proven success in developing new business and meeting sales goals.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to travel across ME, NH, MA (and other parts of New England) regularly, or as needed.
Benefits of the Job:
- Annual pay range of $80,000-95,000
- Ability to work remotely (with home base in Maine or NH). An available office space is in Yarmouth, ME if needed.

Responsibilities of the Sales and Marketing Manager:
- As the sales leader for the company, oversee and drive all sales activity, pipeline development, account development, proposaland prospecting activity.
- Manage Harvesting Good's existing accounts and develop new business opportunities within the institutional channel.
- Manage relationships with existing distributors and develop new distributor relationships as needed.
- Partner with institutional customers to develop and create customer-specific growth plans.
- Oversee and improve sales processes and materials such as new business proposals and onboarding processes.
- Create strategic sales and marketing development plans to achieve growth objectives, evaluate market research, and adjust strategies to meet dynamic market conditions.
- Build awareness of the Harvesting Good brand in New England, within institutions.
Harvesting Good is a for profit subsidiary of Good Shepherd Food Bank. Their goal is to lower food insecurity in Maine by building a sustainable food system, creating new markets for Maine produce and helping local farmers compete. Profits go to local food pantries and food is sold through local businesses, such as Hannaford, and distributed to schools. It's an exciting time to join Harvesting Good.
