The Sales Manager-North America Mining is the lead customer facing individual for North America, responsible for the sales of chemical reagents and the introduction of new technologies and service offerings to the mining industry. He/She has responsibility for maintaining and growing relationships at all types of customer relationships, existing, past, and future. Key to their role is knowledge of competitive positioning in the region via customer intelligence and other relationships.
The role is remote and reports to the Head of Sales and Strategic Accounts in North America.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Setting regional account plans
- Developing new business through new account generation
- Key integrator of emerging technologies workstream
- Monitor contract status and ways to improve contracting process
- Lead negotiations for new and existing contracts
- Lead cross functional team on bid proposals
- Identify key corporate stakeholders and maintain responsibility for management of corporate customer relationships and key accounts
- Provide demand & supply chain view of future demand needs
- Provide market intelligence via distribution and customer channels
- Develop regional sales strategy, sales plans, and integrate plans across international markets

Qualifications for this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or commercial field
- Minimum 10 years of sales experience in the mining industry
- Minimum 5 years of experience developing/presenting proposals and negotiating/managing contracts valued at over $10 million
- Strong knowledge of supply chain and all stages of order fulfillment
- Demonstrated skills to complete work independently and through influence.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of computer applications
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently, including ability to manage numerous follow-up actions and deadlines with customers.
- Ability to interact effectively with and manage the interface with the Mining Solutions business, corporate customer offices and end users and other channel partners
- Willingness to travel (50%) frequently to remote locations across their assigned region(s).
