Founded by chef David Chang, Momofuku's mission is to challenge the conventions of food - in restaurants and beyond. We launched our line of Asian pantry essentials in 2020 to bring restaurant flavors to home cooks everywhere. Since then, we have grown our team to more than 10 employees and our products can now be found nationwide - from our owned ecommerce marketplace to the shelves at grocery stores like Whole Foods and Wegmans.
The Momofuku GoodsSales Manager will be responsible for leading and driving revenue growth within the natural channel for Momofuku. This individual will build and develop existing relationships as well as identify and establish new partnerships. We are looking for someone with a proven track record in growing a fast-growing CPG brand in the natural channel. This person should have experience managing a broker network and distributor partners. The ideal candidate should be a proactive self-starter who could flex up and can easily adjust between strategy and execution. This person should maintain a growth mindset and look for ways to seek new opportunities to win. The Sales Manager will report to the VP of Sales.
Compensation Band:$92,000 - $113,000 annually
Only New York, New Jersey, Virginia, Texas, Arizona, Ohio, and California applicants

Responsibilities:
  • Focus on growing Momofuku Goods within the Alternate Channel and Specialty Accounts (FreshDirect, Thrive Market, Foxtrot, Good Eggs, GoPuff, Purple Carrot), and drive top line revenue growth.
  • Pursue new opportunities outside of retail, specifically foodservice.
  • Grow existing business at Faire through new product initiatives (LTOs), promotional activity or expanding distribution.
  • Develop trade plans that drive new user and brand trials as well as velocity growth.
  • Work with the VP of Sales and Senior Customer Planning Manager to identify white space opportunities, and manage trade and promotional tactics.
  • Partner with Operations and Finance to align on forecasts, demand planning and product profitability. Manage inventory levels to ensure a solid in stock position.
  • Actively manage the broker network and set KPIs and objectives by quarter.
  • Build and sustain current and new client relationships, working collaboratively to better understand business goals and needs.
  • Work with the Marketing team to create best in class sales materials.
  • Identify launch plans for new product innovation.

Required Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience managing accounts for a fast growing CPG brand.
  • Track record of building successful relationships and sales strategies across channels and accounts.
  • Comfortable presenting in front of groups and leadership team.
  • Maintain a "never take no for an answer" attitude.
  • A team player willing to roll up their sleeves and help across the department when needed.
  • Flexibility to travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience managing natural/specialty key accounts for a fast growing CPG brand.
  • Knowledge of trade promotions and levers for each account. Specifically possess the ability to make recommendations and suggestions to buyers based on data and marketing vehicle knowledge.
  • Experience managing brokers and distributors (UNFI, KeHE).
  • Understanding of syndicated sales data (Nielsen, IRI or SPINS) and ability to leverage data and analytics in building convincing data-based sales stories.
  • Ability to monitor market trends, providing regular competitor analysis and promo analysis.
  • Proven ability to proactively and strategically think with a strong analytical orientation and an ability to use data to make informed decisions.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the inner workings of Momofuku's Sales team, systems, and processes.
