Opportunity: Sales Manager
Maximize hotel revenue by concentrating efforts in uncovering new accounts, developing new sources of business, and nurturing existing clients; responsible for targeted revenue goals for transient and group business.
Compensation: $70,000-$75,000 / year

Essential Job Functions
• Manage BT and entertainment accounts for transient and group opportunities ensuring pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented.
• Actively solicit corporations for inclusion into their hotel travel program through personal calls, site inspections, tele-prospecting/email-prospecting, blitzing, and sales trips to assigned territories.
• Negotiate, contract, and monitor account agreements and productivity. Ensure rates committed are competitive and offer the highest yield for the hotel to ensure maximum profitability. This includes annual rate negotiations for renewal of existing accounts and continuous acquisition of new accounts and group business in all terms.
• Build and maintain consistent volume from existing corporate accounts and travel agents; maintain good working relationships with corporate travel managers, procurement officers, business travel agents, and other decision makers and influencers.
• Participate in trade shows and industry functions as directed.
• Create quarterly strategic sales action plans that will address the direct need of the segment and the hotel. (monthly when requested).
• Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM's EarthView program.
• Perform other duties as requested by management
Position Requirements
• 2+ years hotel sales experience within the hotel industry, business travel experience preferred.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or related industry preferred.
Work Environment and Context
• Work schedule varies and may include occasionally working on weekends.
• Required to sit for extended periods, lift up to 10 pounds, bend, reach, use hands and fingers to
operate keyboard.
• Moderate travel required.
