Position Overview
The Sales Manager will develop and implement a strategy and tactics to increase effective prospecting and new revenue generation across brands. This includes being responsible for developing and implementing sales training, CRM training and deploying sales strategies focused on revenue growth across all publications. The successful manager will analyze and leverage CRM data to empower sales representatives to develop successful sales tactics, improve product knowledge and enhance profitability.
Responsibilities:
Sales Team Management:
· Collaborate with publishers to understand the objectives, strategies, and goals of each sales channel.
· Conduct training program evaluations, communicate key performance indicators, develop targeted sales strategies.
· Develop and implement a sales training program to include sales competencies to support growth.
· Identify opportunities to continuously improve and execute updates.
· Leverage CRM data to demonstrate customer buying trends, sales opportunities and overall sales performance.
· Create reports, graphs and visual elements using CRM data to highlight sales trends.
· Assist in the creation of sales proposals and presentations that resonate with clients.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in sales.
- Foster a culture of accountability and growth within the sales team.
- Maintain strong product knowledge to enable persuasive cross selling strategies.
Individual Sales (after processes and strategies are in place/potentially year 2 or 3):
· Manage a book of business to drive client satisfaction and revenue.
- Solicit new and existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue goals through telephone prospecting, outside sales calls, industry event management and written communication.
- Foster strong relationships with clients and customers to understand their needs and preferences.
- Attend industry events to network, build relationships, and learn about trends in the industry.
- Attend sales calls and plant visits to gain an understanding of customer operations and needs.
- Collaborate closely with marketing team to align strategies and campaigns.

Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field
· 7+ years of sales experience
· 5+ years management and training experience
· Experience using CRM to manage the sales process and optimize the customer sales journey to create an actionable pipeline
· Knowledge of B2B food industry is a plus
