Job Summary

The SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operational Planning) Analyst is responsible for standardization and facilitation of monthly SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operational Planning) processes to ensure alignment among all partners including but not limited to sales, finance, demand planning and supply planning, production, inventory levels, and logistics. Enables the implementation and execution of industry SIOP best practices and strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams and senior executive leaders. Is responsible for assisting in the implementation of the SIOP strategy at the organizational level and supporting all aspects of the SIOP process while contributing to product reliability, inventory management, and attainment of organizational goals. This includes the development of the statistical forecasts for each function (by region).
Key Job Functions & Duties
  • Leads analysis, and reporting of inventory for IPS Adhesives including forecast, annual and long-range plans.
  • Develops and optimizes forecasting and demand planning process to meet and exceed internal and external customer requirements.
  • Develops effective statistical forecast models based on industry trends, seasonality and customer specific demand patterns.
  • Supports executive leadership on SIOP deliverables.
  • Ensures supply planners have the correct data to set in process WIP, in Process goods, and finish goods stock level to maintain 100% on-time delivery.
  • Using analytics, works with the Supply Chain team to determine right-sizing based on 90 day rolling sales history for components and raw materials
  • Works with operations supporting 99% cycle count accuracy
  • Works closely with Supply Chain and Operation departments in understanding capacity constraints that prevent from achieving demand plan.
  • Utilizes data to drive forecast accuracy to facilitate a continuous improvement mindset into the process and team.
  • Supports working capital/inventory strategies toward inventory optimization through effective SIOP execution in alignment with demand and supply planning execution.
  • Continuously improve the SIOP process by identifying areas of waste and implementing lean principles through the IPS Business System to drive efficiency and reduce costs.

Education, Experience & Skill Requirements
  • Post-secondary educational degree and/or certifications in relevant courses of study
  • 3+ years of experience within a Demand Planning, Supply Chain, Finance or related field
  • Advanced ERP and MRP experience required. (JD Edwards, E1 experience is a plus.)
  • Knowledge of forecasting tools and best practices, including techniques and methods to develop forecasting models.
  • Advanced analytical skills and ability to manage large sets of complex data.
  • Experience with complex manufacturing business systems.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Ability to learn technical concepts by reading work instructions and standard operating procedures and completing on-the-job training.
Other Preferred Experiences & Skills
  • Ability to drive process improvements and sustainment with minimal supervision
