Position Overview
As a Sales Director, you are responsible for growing our client base with a focus on enterprise brands globally. You are committed to winning and taking advantage of the untapped customer base that could benefit from Piano's product offering. Individuals should have a proven track record of consultative SaaS sales; a strong network in transportation/aviation including an understanding of the airline commercial and sales processes; the ability to negotiate complex six and seven-figure contracts; a strong understanding of the digital landscape and a willingness to embrace disruptive, fast-paced technology companies.
What You'll Do:

  • Develop a comprehensive sales plan and approach to achieve individual sales targets, with ongoing monitoring of progress on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis;
  • Lead, nurture, and foster sales and development opportunities within the aviation industry;
  • Leverage your extensive professional network to generate leads and facilitate partnerships with key industry players;
  • Prepare and deliver successful sales approaches, including executing meetings, presentations, proposals, and contract negotiations;
  • Cultivate and manage trusted advisor relationships with key stakeholders, including executives up to C-Level, throughout the entire sales cycle;
  • Assist in defining and refining product-market fit through industry expert exchanges and participation in industry conferences;
  • Continuously assess market needs and gaps to strategically position our offerings and help positioning Piano as thought leader in the industry;
  • Partner with business development and marketing teams to maximize revenue-generating opportunities;

What You Have:
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the capacity to influence and communicate effectively at all organizational levels;
  • Minimum of 6 years of proven success in SaaS sales within the aviation or transportation industry;
  • A well-established professional network within the commercial and/or Tech departments for lead generation and industry insights;
  • In-depth industry knowledge along with expertise around ancillary sales, overall e-commerce and/or revenue management;
  • Familiarity with online customer journeys, data-driven online marketing tactics, analytics, personalization, and airlines sales technologies like NDC
  • Track record of success in closing six-figure deals;
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong focus on business development;
  • Proficiency in delivering compelling and persuasive presentations;
  • Fluent in English; ability to speak multiple languages a plus;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex ideas effectively;
  • Ability to travel;
