Job Title: Sales Design Consultant
 
Earn up to $90,000+ in Year One w/ Base + Commission (uncapped earning potential)
Bumble Bee Blinds is the fastest-growing window covering business (blinds, shutters, indoor and outdoor shades, and draperies) in the country!  Our newest location will service Akron, Canton and surrounding areas (big territory, booming with opportunity).
As a Sales Design Consultant with Bumble Bee Blinds, you will be responsible for selling window-covering products and installation services to residential and commercial customers in your market. You will help build a network of customers and referral partners, drive sales revenue and support the company’s core values. We’re looking for someone who embodies professionalism, creativity, and ambition, with a relentless drive to exceed customer service expectations. A successful Design Consultant will hold oneself to high customer service standards while being detail-oriented, organized, creative, ambitious, and very personable. In this role, you’ll help make the homes and workspaces of our clients more beautiful, functional, and comfortable by servicing the qualified leads that our award-winning marketing team generates and by generating organic referrals. Responsibilities:
  • Schedule and perform in-home window treatment design consultations, demonstrate various window covering options and functionality, and provide installation estimates.
  • Successfully close appointments by demonstrating and reinforcing our unique and proven Bumble Bee Blinds value proposition, and by building trust and credibility.
  • Drive leads and referrals.  Answer new and existing customers’ phone calls while following a proven sales processes and playbook.
  • Develop strong networking relationships with potential customers, interior designers, realtors, builders, and other relevant associations and home service providers in your market.
  • Maintain prospect and customer data, project status, and job details in the CRM. Complete all required activities and submit documentation in a timely manner.
  • Provide high-level customer service and follow up in a friendly, professional, and timely manner for both internal and external customers.
  • Be flexible to the needs of the business, including appointment scheduling, time off requests, attending team meetings and training.

  • Collect balances due once work is completed and customer satisfaction met.

Required Qualifications:
  • High energy, positive attitude, and forward thinking.
  • Background in customer service, retail, or sales (comfortable with in home sales). Previous window covering sales/service experience preferred but not required.
  • Quick learner who is adaptable, self-reliant, resourceful and handles competing priorities.  Ability to quickly learn and follow new technology processes and systems.
  • Ability to Measure, record, and configure specifications accurately and efficiently, avoiding errors that adversely affect the company’s bottom line and reputation.
  • Strong team player and the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to express thoughts, ideas, concerns in a positive, respectful, and productive manner.
  • Proficiency with using a PC with working knowledge of common computer software applications including but not limited to: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, CRM.
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and proof of insurance. Ability to drive within territory and accommodate occasional longer drive times to meet the needs of customers outside of territory.
  • Availability to work full-time five days per week, flexibility to work occasional weekends.
  • High school degree or equivalent is required, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Attending Bumble Bee Blinds Academy Training in Omaha, NE May 5-May 10 (expenses covered)
    • Start date; approx. April 15
Compensation Package and Perks
  • We offer a base salary ($30k - $50k based on candidate experience) + Commission for a Total Compensation in year 1 of $60,000 - $90,000+
  • As a Design Consultant at Bumble Bee Blinds of Akron Canton your commission is uncapped!
