Position Summary:

Manages statistical forecasting process for designated business unit/category

Position Responsibilities:

• Prepare, present, and drive monthly forecasting process by engaging marketing and other key stakeholders

• Conduct data analyses to problem solve delivery issues, show trend data, and challenge assumptions and outcomes
  • Maintain demand planning software

• Have a deep understanding of statistical forecasts

• Create scenario plans to mitigate risk and conduct cost/benefit analyses
  • Track Intercompany forecast/supply and quantify the impact to PVG Revenue and Inventory
  • Meet regularly with BU Leadership, Sales & planning to review divisional input analysis

• Report on forecast accuracy and bias metrics and other KPIs as needed

• Coordinate new product launches with purchasing, marketing, and engineering

• Work cross-functionally to drive decision-making, new processes, collaboration, and visibility

• Present to commercial and plant leadership with little assistance and drive challenging decisions relating to supply/demand

• Align demand planning processes with profitability and growth objectives of business unit

• Make well-informed, effective, and timely decisions even when data is limited

• Persuasively and clearly present thoughts and ideas; inspire commitment and support for ideas

Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required:
  • Comfortable building out demand planning process and owning internal/external customer communication
  • Experience with ERP or BI software/tools
  • Advanced Skills in data analytics and Excel
  • Experience with Oracle or Qlik View software/tools
  • Experience developing/building detailed planning models
  • Experience building presentations for Senior Leadership
  • Experience utilizing Oracle Demantra or similar planning tool
  • Advanced knowledge of demand planning item/customer hierarchies

Position Qualifications:

Education:

3+ years' experience in Demand Planning functional role required with Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Mathematics or Statistics or MBA or Masters + 4 years applicable experience.

Experience:

Experience in automotive industry

Experience forecasting in a seasonal B2B and B2C vertically integrated business

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

Office Environment

Ability to sit for long periods of time

Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on computer
