ThePosition:
We're hiring a Sales Consultant!
As the Sales Consultant, you will speak with and advise clients who have inquired about Greenwich Tent services. You will guide the client from initial contact to confirmation and support the Project Manager throughout the production process as needed. This is a full-time, exempt position reporting directly to the Vice President of Sales.

Your Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
You will set the tone and expectations from the first interaction with the potential client. As a team, we strive to provide our clients with the highest level of care and quality of product to ensure ultimate peace of mind going into their event. Your diplomatic approach and professional demeanor will ensure clients adhere to company policy for the overall safety and success of the event. As the Sales Consultant, you will:
- Cultivate client relationships both with inbound leads and outbound outreach
- Promote The Greenwich Tent Company’s white glove service and industry leading products
- Conduct the discovery conversation with new inquiries and provide ballpark estimates based on known event details
- Schedule and conduct preliminary site visits to assess the location for the event and address any concerns about the event location including logistics involving installation and breakdown
- Complete cost analyses for each quote to ensure achieving target profitability
- Drive sales by building relationships with clients, thinking and responding creatively to objections, and performing timely follow-ups
- Create and provide quotes and aerials for new inquiries including follow-up communication as well as securing the required documentation and processing payments upon confirmation
- Maintain a current and accurate Event Calendar to ensure the Sales and Operations teams are apprised of relevant information regarding each event
- Exercise your ability to listen actively to the concerns and desires of the client for the purpose of providing customized rental solutions for their event
Requirements:
- 3+ years of sales experience
- Reliable transportation to make sales calls
- Must be highly organized and detail-oriented
- Display excellent verbal and written communication along with strong multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills
- Project management skills
- Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Tent or event experience a plus, but not necessary
