WGRZ is seeking a full-time lifestyle show/ Commercial Producer. A producer/writer capable of seeing projects from start to finish on their own, with comprehensive knowledge and experience of the entire production process. From meeting with clients to helping enhance brands and messaging, to writing scripts, shooting, editing, and overseeing productions.
This hands-on role requires vision and skill to create multi-platform content.
Responsibilities
- Work on other station projects as assigned, including developing a weekly half-hour show.
- Regular meetings with sales department management, station account executives and/or clients to develop creative concepts for commercials and/or shows.
- Establish project budgets and execute projects efficiently to produce dynamic and effective content while working towards achieving fiscal goals of driving overall station revenue.
- Creative copywriting, development and execution of produced commercials and other content.
- Manage project media and assets of commercial production unit.
- Minimum 2-3 years as Commercial Producer in television and/or agency experience.
- Thorough knowledge of production process from ideation, through production, to final product.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to effectively communicate with clients, fellow employees, and talent.
- Must be flexible and willing to adapt to last minute changes.
- Ability to interact productively and positively with fellow employees.
- Must be organized and dependable.
- Must have excellent communication skills.
- Must be flexible in work hours depending upon needs of assigned project or deadlines.
- Must have a general artistic ability including a sense of design, balance, composition, and lighting.
- Travel: Occasionally: 10-25%
- Work Environment Set: Office: normally performed in a typical interior/office environment
- Physical Demands Set: Light work: Involves sitting most of the time, walking, lifting, bending, standing, etc.
