Position Overview:
The Sales & Clinical Effectiveness Manager is responsible for maintaining, delivering, and iterating Sales & Clinical training programs to drive console and treatment revenue, Outset Sales Process, and best-in-class clinical acumen. This position will partner with relevant SMEs to execute training events and classes that align selling behaviors to business priorities. This role will work closely with both new hires and tenured sales representatives to drive efficacy and standardization of customer training workshops and general sales and clinical acumen. This individual will be adept at facilitating training classes, regional, and national meetings and partnering with key stakeholders to identify gaps and iterate programs to efficiently onboard and develop team members.
The ideal candidate should have dedicated experience in a sales training capacity: training clinical and/or sales representatives that sell, implement, and support capital equipment medical device programs.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Facilitates and iterates Outset's SET new hire program
    • Ensures effective onboarding activity completion, successful application of knowledge, and provides actionable insights
    • Aligns with key internal partners to identify outstanding training gaps
    • Creates and iterates new or updated eLearning courses in partnership with our internal design team
    • Drives adoption of Outset's Sales Process within the clinical and capital teams
    • Refines training content as needed per standardized documentation practices
  • Executes ongoing training series as needed, including Clinical Competency Series and Competitive Edge Series
    • Partners with SMEs to develop and facilitate content across all sales functions
  • Shadows sales teams, sales leaders, and customers to evaluate current training effectiveness and standardization
    • Completes standardized field rides to gain continuous insight into current behaviors vs desired state
    • Collects and disseminates best practices
    • Assesses clinical tools and provides actionable insight into refinement
    • Executes field-based clinical competency checks
  • Develops and executes session content for National Sales Meetings
  • Serve as a role model in terms of ability to apply core tools, customer training, and sales activities in the field that are aligned to business goals

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years previous relevant work experience, preferably within Medical Device
  • Demonstrated ability to manage training projects and initiatives with measurable outcomes
  • Expertise in enabling sales teams through facilitation of product training, clinical training, and sales process
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written. The ability to present to various levels and sizes of groups within and outside of the organization.
  • Track record of successful sales, sales and service training
  • Must be self-motivated and detail-oriented,
  • Must work well and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Experienced in working with people with diverse backgrounds
  • Travel is a requirement of this position and estimated to be between 30%-40%

Desired Qualifications:
  • Excellent computer skills and is able to work in Microsoft Office
  • Well-developed planning and project management skills.
  • Startup experience preferred

National Salary Range
National Salary Range (Remote)
$110,000 - $136,000 USD
